Volunteers have the opportunity to develop new skills and make new friends, while supporting the military family community.
Some of the MFRC volunteer opportunities include:
Grandparents in the House
You can make a difference for children of military families who lack a grandparent role model. The children embrace the special nature that only a grandparent role model can provide.
Youth Dance Supervisors
You can make a positive impact for the youths of military families. Our monthly pre-teen and teen dances are very popular.

Fundraising at the
MFRC
The Edmonton Garrison Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is a non-profit agency registered under Alberta's Societies Act. A portion of the MFRC's annual funding comes from the Directorate of Military Family Services. The majority, however, comes from the two F's - Fees and Fundraising.
Yellow Ribbon Campaign - Show your support of the military families by wearing a "Yellow Ribbon" lapel pin, a "Yellow Ribbon" baseball cap or by putting a "Yellow Ribbon" car magnet on your vehicle, available at the Edmonton Garrison MFRC. Click here for more information.
Garage Sale - there's something for everybody at the MFRC Garage Sale.
Annual Yellow Ribbon Gala Dinner & Silent Auction - The most prestigious event of the year, the Annual Gala & Silent Auction is also very popular among the business community. Your support is greatly appreciated.
